What USA election results mean to me

Nov 05, 2008

He has a very strong name Barrack Obama. :B:'r":ck,and m...notice only two vowels and lots of consonants.
When you speak of him, you are forced to speak up your mind because it - the name - wants you too.

The name Obama is so easy for children to learn. Not like Bush or George.....'sh' and 'g' sounds are not the earliest sounds that a child would learn. A child starts to make sounds of the vowels like 'a' ' u' and then 'b' or 'm'. That is why his name is so easy to learn and teach, and has a strong overtone.

In Jakarta, the house in menteng where he used to live as a kid is now valued at USD15 million. It is crazy: the luck is believed to worth more than the property or land. It is not Obama, it is the luck that is with him.

Tonight, I sat at the dinner table with the family to celebrate my daughter's birthday, which falls on the same day
as the result of the presidency in the USA. History is made on this day. There are 9 of us: 6 adults and 3 kids. My husband is caucasion and my brother in law is Chinese. Our children are therefore mixed from this interracial marriages.

I feel proud of my family, and certainly proud that USA now decides that they have to accept the differences of skin colour and elect a new black president. I have always thought the western nations must learn from structure of asian societies, where the mix of race and religion live under one common national ideal. You have to be born and brought up in such diversity to truly understand and appreciate the harmony and tolerance amongst people with different ethnic groups.
